All Together

This last weekend was my mother's 65th birthday. A few months back I arranged for her, my sister and my daughters to all attend an afternoon tea at Aunt Hattie's Tea House. They all were so excited and didn't know what to expect. I had attended a tea there last July with my cousin Jeannine and just fell in love with the place. They bring each person a pot of their own tea and then several different pastries. For instance, cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, chocolate covered cherries, and scones with lemon curd and butter cream. Let me put it this way.......YOU ARE STUFFED when you leave. Here is a group shot of all of us.

After leaving Aunt Hattie's we went to visit my grandmother Theresa. She is 96 and doesn't get out much. She lives in an apartment that offers assisted living. I love to visit her because here is a woman who raised a family almost twice the size of mine and look at her!! She still walks to go get her nails and hair done once a week. I hope I am as active as she is at that age!!

I was so grateful to get some pictures of her with my daughters and of course a group shot of my mom, sister and me with her. It was a wonderful day.

How fun! I'm glad you got to enjoy some girl time with your mom on her special day. I might have to try that with my mom. Although MY mom raised three tomboys! Don't know how my sisters would feel about a tea party!! :)

btw, you're looking GREAT in those pics!
